The history of Bojacá refers to a shrine called
Chunubá (chapel or small temple, in Chibcha). The set of stones according to
the scholars was used by the tribe to perform sacrifices. This place could
correspond to the stones of Chivo Negro, a rock fortress where each one seems
to be carved with fine Egyptian designs.
HIGH OF THE VIRGIN
An image of the Virgin Mary is the beginning of the
three-hour journey along the Bojacá-El Ocaso royal road. The route along the
path covered in stone slabs starts in a forest of fog and changes rapidly in
climate, allowing you to observe a great variety of fauna and flora during the
journey.

SQUARE
The main square of Bojacá
is framed by small streets covered with stone slabs reminiscent of the colonial
era. However, the memory evokes that period when you contemplate the mansions
of exquisite balconies and arches that rise up around you.

The church is the most important site of Bojaca, It is
the center of attention of the whole municipality, the town meets in Bojacà
especially for the religious approach. They are very catholic.
